Breast cosmetic surgery is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures. Many women are having this surgery performed for many reasons. It could be their breasts are too small, too large, or not as firm or as visually pleasing as they would like them to be. Breast cosmetic surgery is one way that can make them feel more attractive and bring back the confidence they had before.
Aims to increase the size of the breast with the use of implants inserted into the breasts via incisions.
Breast fat grafting or transfer, uses fat (instead of implants) harvested elsewhere in the body to enlarge the breast naturally.
While many women dream of having bigger boobs. There are some who are gifted with big breasts who want them reduced. Usual reasons for requesting reduction mammoplasty are; chronic back/neck pains, breast pain, or getting too much attention.
During breast reduction, excess breast tissue and skin are excised and removed.
Mastopexy is an operation to raise and reshape the breasts. This is indicated if your breasts have lost their shape, size, and elasticity secondary to pregnancy, breastfeeding, ageing process, or during excessive weight loss or gain.
Insertion of implants can be done in conjunction with a breast lifting surgery.
The last type which is not included is Breast Reconstruction or Reconstructive Mammoplasty. It involves more on restoring back the shape of the breast after removal (usually from mastectomy of breast cancer). The aim is to complement the remaining breast as closely as possible to balance the look of the chest after the surgical treatment.
